Editing your title and setting the float in Adobe Dreamweaver
By themastudios
Check out my website The MaStudios
In this very easy step, you will learn how to setup the title of your page and the float. The title is what people will see on the top on there browser window as well as there broswer tabs. The float is how your page will sit in the browser (left, center, right).
All very easy, so lets do it real quick and move on to FTP which is the last step.
Editing the title..
Highlight and delete the default title, which will most likely be that name you saved your page as. This is where you will insert your title, anything you want. People will only see a certain amount of it depending on alot of factors, how big there browser window is, the type of browser and so on-not important. What is important, is that you want to keep your title as simple as possible while making sure it describes the page well.
Setting your float...
You will see a bit a code pertaining to the tabe border, padding, spacing and width. It should be under the <body bgcolor> spot. Select the whole line by clicking on the small number in the blue bar that runs vertically next to your code.
With this selected, under the properties menu at the bottom of the program you will see the Align option, select your preference and by pressing F12 you will see your setting take place.
You are now done with the creation portion of your website! Congrats!
Now its time to upload it to the web, using FTP. I will say this is one of the hardest things I had to learn when I was starting out, it may be easier for some. Good luck!
Go back to the Main Portal or continue to the Next Step.
